How does the program work?

The customer brings in an item. The store, utilizing ztradingindustries' software zdrop™, quickly derives an appraisal of the item to be provided to the customer. The zdrop™ software then posts the item for sale on eBay’s web site and manages the auction. When the auction ends in a successful sale, zdrop™ collects payment on its web site and the store ships the item to the winning bidder. Finally, a check is sent to the customer and the store is credited the selling fee and commission. The entire process takes about 30 days.


What experience does ztradingpost have selling pre-owned merchandise on eBay?

ztradingpost™ attained eBay’s highest level of sales and customer service status, Titanium Power Seller, and is one of the largest sellers on eBay.


What does it cost?

There are two service level plans – "Basic" and "Premium". The Basic Plan requires a deposit of $4.99, allows for a 7-day auction and starts the bidding at $1. The deposit is refunded back to the customer as a credit against the sales commission if the item sells.

The Premium Plan requires a deposit of $9.99, allows for a 10-day auction and allows you to set an "auction reserve value" (the minimum amount you’ll accept to sell your item). As in the Basic Plan, this deposit is refunded back to the customer as a credit against the sales commission if the item sells. Sales commissions vary based on the sales price of your item but are approximately 33% before eBay’s commission.


What is the advantage of the Premium Plan?

The Premium Plan allows your auction to be posted 10 days instead of 7. This allows more time for people to see your item. You can set a Starting Bid amount so the item does not sell for less than what you expected. The cost of this plan is $9.99. The deposit is refunded back to the customer as a credit against the sales commission if the item sells.


Can I bring in anything to sell?

All items must be valued at least $30, and be allowed to be sold on eBay. Check our www.ztradingpost.com/zDrop/whatSells for a complete listing of recommended items to sell.


How many items can I bring in at one time to sell?

There is no limit.


Do you take actual pictures of my item?

If there is not an exact model picture in the zdrop™ database to match up to your item, we will take pictures.


Can I check on the bidding of my item?

This requires a computer and an e-mail address. When your item is posted, ztradingindustries will email you an Internet "link" to your auction at eBay’s website.


How will I know my item sells?

This requires a computer and email address. You will receive an email from ztradingindustries notifying you that there was a winning bidder for your item. If you don’t have a computer you will be notified by telephone.


If my item sells how much will I make?

It is similar to a consignment - you will get approximately 70% of the auction selling price.


What is the time frame before I get paid if my item sells?

It usually takes about 30 days from the time an item is posted on eBay to the time the seller receives a check.


Do customer’s come into the store to get paid?

No. Checks are mailed to the customers by ztradingindustries.


If my item doesn’t sell can I list it again?

You can, but usually if it did not sell the first time it will not generate a sale the second time.


What happens if the person who buys my item wants to return it?

The buyer can return the item only if it was not described properly on the eBay website. The buyer has 10 days after the item is paid for to return it. If the item is returned, you can relist it for sale or reclaim it.


How long do customers have to pick up items that don’t sell?

Customers are notified via email from ztrading that their item did not sell. Customers have 15 days to pick up the item or it will be donated to charity.
